Koichi serves as Senior Director of Bioinformatics within Daiichi Sankyo’s translational science department. With 20+ years of experience in bioinformatics and over 15 years spanning translational research and early clinical development, Koichi has built a career at the interface of biology, data science, and drug development—primarily in oncology. His core strength is turning complex molecular and clinical signals into actionable development decisions: defining “what to measure and why,” shaping biomarker and data strategies, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring analyses translate into clear, decision-ready evidence.
