Mitsuho Imai

I am one of the core members of SCRUM-Japan, which conducts clinical trials for the development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices for cancer treatment globally, from clinical trial planning to obtaining regulatory approval while organizing about 200 facilities nationwide.

I am an oncologist specializing in gastroenterology. I completed my clinical training at a general hospital specializing in oncology in Tokyo. Following that, I researched cancer microenvironment and autophagy during my doctoral program at the University of Tokyo, and lncRNA and epigenetics as a post-doctoral fellow at UCSF.

I am a member of a working group for the development of the infrastructure for cancer genetic medicine under domestic insurance approval, and I am promoting the development project while providing specialized outpatient care at one of the 12 hospitals designated by the Japanese government as a core genome center.
